jkOnTheRun testing the P1610 Mini Tablet PC

Posted on 17 November 2006 by Chippy

The lucky man himself, jk, got hold of a Fujitsu P1610.

I’m still looking for a reason why someone might buy the 1610 over the 1510 because the current models don’t appear to be shipping with cellular data modem included. That’s planned for Jan 2007 in Europe.

Its still a wonderful machine though and its joint #2 on the Carrypad UMPC product list today. A lot of people are interested in it. I’ll definitely be following the reviews at jkOnTheRun. and I should get some hands-on with one at the World of Mobility Expo in Koeln/Cologne next week. Anyone else going? We need to find out from Samsung where that Q1B with HSDPA is!

Detailed specs and news listing for the P1610 in the product portal.

the two main reasons for buying this over the p1510 is the ink experience is far superior than the p1510, with no vectoring issues. In addition, the addition of the pc card slot is a boone for those of us with need for EV-DO connections, and other uses for pc cards. This machine is a huge improvement over the p1510
