Nokia World. Keynote. Mobile internet access. Notes.

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, President and Chief Executive Officer has just spent most of his keynote speech talking about mobile Internet access and bringing the Internet to the next billion people.

Some highlights of the speech:

970 million devices expected to be sold globally in 2007.

850 million people using Nokia devices today.

Have connected more people to the internet than any other company.

Planning Wi-Max devices in 2008

Worlds largest manufacturer of music players.

Mobile TV to move to mass market phase in 2007

3220 worlds first near-field communications/payment device.

Nokia believes they are challenging digital camera market

Mobile access is bringing us to the thirds wave of the internet.

No mention of a new internet tablet.
