Thoughtfix has pulled apart the Nokia N800 for the good of the community and journaled his findings. There’s a video and a full set of images that, to be honest, don’t reveal much except custom chips and a tidy design. No secret ‘boost’ button then? Damn!
Speaking of boost, Ari Jaaksi says that the N800 will get better and the Canola team says they are close to a release of the Canola Media player. If the video support is improved, its going to really enhanced the package. 1mbps 400×240 Xvid capability would be nice. As yet we haven’t heard of anyone getting that sort of performance.
