One of the most impressive UMPCs I’ve ever used was the Q1 Ultra Premium at CeBIT last week. Combined with XP, the extended battery and that lovely screen it provides a superb, smooth and reliable multimedia experience. JKKMobile and myself shot a video showing live video editing and we were both pretty amazed at the result! Kevin Tofel of JKontherun ordered a Q1 Ultra Premium earlier this week and has just had notice that Mr Delivery is on his way. I’m really interested to hear about what he thinks as he’s quite the HD fan!
I resurrected my own Q1 Ultra (not the premium version unfortunately) with XP this week and have been using it for the last 4 days. Its a quality bit of kit and if I manage to squeeze HSDPA into it over the weekend i’ll probably use it as my main mobile device for a while. With the extended battery, keyboard and 2GB RAM it’s far more productive than my Raon Digital Everun but requires a bag to carry it around. We’ll see if that turns out to be an acceptable trade-off!
