That gadget bag, with wires sticking out, going from one compartment to another, is an absolute guarantee that you'll be having a long intimate relationship with Mr Homeland Security high-school drop-out goon, on your next visit to any public transportation site.

no problem chippy. i have been pondering the offer that proporta have going for their bag and battery combo:

http://proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=3155&t_mode=des

compartments that can be taken off, ports to run wiring between compartments, and a usb based backup battery for those times when you know you will run out of juice at some point. i would say its a near win/win.

@Fixup.
That wouldn't work i'm afraid due to inferior photo capabilities on nearly all other phones. Also, i'm a big fan of the way that Nokia are going with Ovi. It's a long way from being usable yet but I can see where their multimedia devices are heading in terms of software and hardware and I really like it.

chippy: you should replace your N82 with something that has a soft keyboard, such as HTC Touch. I know you don't want to do that, because you'll then find no need for UMPC. I've been using the Touchpal soft keyboard, it is really better than hard keyboard!

I'm quite disappointed, Chippy.

A healthy strapping youngster such as yourself has no need to "stop to blog"...

It's the thumb typing "on the run" that we want to see. Literally! ;-)

Interesting idea. I often use my cycle to work or an evening jog as a time to think over my current work or personal problems (of a technical nature).

I find that thinking about problems that need solving distracts me from the exercise which might otherwise get tiring or feel tedious.

Not sure how I would feel about interrupting my exercise to record something, and theres always the risk of getting too engrossed in the task at hand that you forget to continue exercising in due time.
