Hopefully the right drivers gets released soon, as I'm still waiting for my SC3 to arrive. I ordered last week and still haven't received it. Chippy keep us posted if V7 works, and if it does I don't mind paying $10.00 but we shouldn't have to pay for something that was suppose to work. From what we all where expecting that this new hardware was going to perform better, more battery life, well seems like its not going to good. I really don't watch to many movies on my devices but would nice that if the SC3 would perform like it should with good battery life. I'm still using my U810 which I have Vista Business installed and works great. I just want to be mobile and the apps I use for work are mostly Outlook, Web, Word, Excel, Powepoint, Blackberry Desktop manager, and small apps. So hopefully besides the video problems, and some posting about SC3 hanging up at bootup, hopefully the SC3 works out for me. I will also see how much better the P8860 is playing HD Video when I get sometime tomorrow.

Exactly. WinDVD could not be used in any other application but the filters of PowerDVD can be used in Gomplayer and the other one was Zoom. Try zoom. I believe that I got the best results on those tests back there using zoom.

HI Frank. Yup, I remember this well!
Apparently the WinDVD drivers are closed into the app though so with PowerDVD you can use the filters in other apps. I tried in Gomplayer with marginal success though.

If you recall back when I got the eo v7110 we reached almost the same conclusion. The only two applications that where using the hardware acceleration on VIA processor were the PowerDVD and WinDVD. I think that if you test WinDVD you will get similar results than with PowerDVD.
