As I discussed on another thread if they made the SC3
with a 901 type capacity battery the 1.6ghz atom and a fast 2.5inch hd it would be phenomenal and still be under 1KG. They also need to market these machine agrressivly on price much more! I mean are they executive toys (at £600+) or something that fits in the price band between pda's and laptops (£200-£300).

What kind of games have you tried? It's too bad about the battery life. The extended battery would be a must for me, but that makes it the same weight as my laptop!

Yup. I also found my SX3 a joy to use around the house (2.5 hours with wifi and 70% brightness). I was afraid 1.25 kg would be too heavy to carry around, but it's actually not bad at all. Kohjinsha must be doing something right with the form factor of these devices.

But at this price tag, people might find it too high for home use only. (I'm liking it enough, so I'll keep it.)

I noticed you did not talk about the built in TV tuner.
If you look on the top right of the monitor there is an antenna that is hidden.

Good to hear that Grey.
I do love the SC3 form factor and at home, I find the SC3 very enjoyable for browsing over wifi (bad battery life aside). When out on the road though ive had too many failures for it to be classed as a business device. The sx3 would have to be XP based before i considered it for business use.

Just curious if anyone can give me an idea of how typing on the sx3 is compared to an eeepc, and also how the size/weight compares. The keyboards look to be about the same. Seriously considering upgrading to an sx... thanks

I've got an SX3. I've been using it everywhere in the house for about a month now. Great build quality, beautiful screen. The stylus that came with it is okay, but it's so thin that taking note with it is not really possible.

Vista performs fine with 2 GB ram and unnecessary services disabled. Opera is fast as usual. No problem with other programs.

I've heard quite a few issues with SC3, e.g battery not charging, bluescreen. I actually haven't got any of that with my SX3. I wonder why.

The only real complaint I have is the drivers. I got around with PowerDVD codecs for viewing H.264 vids. But gaming is impossible. Not that I wanted to game on it, but it's annoying with such sub-par performance. This will cause me to think twice, thrice before buying another Intel or Kohjinsha products in the future.
