1 broken ram means to throw away your laptop.
512MB internal ram, doesn't work together with 1GB of RAM in the Sodimm slot.
So you have the choice to run on 512MB,or 1GB.
darn...
I'd prefer 2 slots,or 1GB soldered ram with a compatible with Kingston memory module.
2GB is ok for XP,4GB better.

I wonder why noone ships these devices with Linux, and a XP/vista driver CD.

this reminds me of the Aspire, so what happens when that 512MB burns out? will it be able to bypass & still boot?

nope, there is only 1 RAM slot, 512MB is soldered onboard. but latest news is that it can recognise 2GB RAM.

this is very small for a 10", about the same size as a Aspire One actually. but they KB doesnt even stretch all the way out to the edges. i know the KB size is below the Wind, 1000, AA1, but is it at least bigger than the EEE 700/900?
