Posted on 27 October 2008 by Chippy

Friday nights live podcast with JKK and Sascha is now in the feed and available for direct download.
We had a fun time talking about some of the latest netbook news (NC10, S101) about the Aigo MID that JKK is testing, about the Linux opportunity, multitouch and a why XP can be a good OS for MIDs and UMPCs.

Thanks to everyone that joined for the live session and those who kept us busy for the few hours after the podcast. We rounded up the podcast with a quickfire question that brought a suprising answer. I asked JKK and Sascha what device they would buy today and we all went for the same two devices. An Eee PC and a Compal (Aigo, Gigabyte) MID. Is that the perfect mobile combination?

I have owned an Eee 1000h for a month and love it. It is the best buy in the States at zipzoomfly.com(160g for $449 at different times during the week) The 802.1 n is fast and the Bluetooth works great. I can plug in to my big screen TV and use my wireless keyboard/mouse to tour the world on Virtual Earth and Google Earth. Plus its a good size to take on the road. However,I would think the speed/readability and mobility of the Everun Note would be good for the MS software used in the factory I work at.
