Microsoft is in trouble here, so they're on a strong publicity drive to try to herd this developing market into the Gates Motel (users check in but they never check out ;) What’s missing here is the information that Linux remains freely available for them to install on any & all devices, with very talented & enthusiastic resources for making it work well on their hardware, where custom drivers or tweaks are required.
