I will be interested to see this running Windows 7 Beta. So far my indications have been very strong in comparison to XP and much trimmed over Vista.

Should be interesting the user experience. The new taskbar has touch friendly features and if the UMPC supports aero, it could be a really nice experience.

On average a blank system I am finding to consume 300MB less ram on boot up in comparison to Vista.

I have played with th ei1 at IFA in Berlin. Yes, usability is superb, screen is just wonderful, mousepad is excellent.

WiBrain should add a productivity pack with keyboard and a shell for device and keyboard.

I don't see the i1 being in any race where netbooks are involved but for UMPCs, it's a great step forward. Looking forward to more Menlow-based UMPCs with XP.

I used it non-stop for over 4hrs last night and did everything from blogging to coding, listening to a podcast, running gtalk, twirl, doing emails. It was a very productive 4 hours. Probably one of the longest sessions i've ever had with a UMPC and it was very comfortable.

This is a tool I want in my arsenal. I have to see what happens at CES before I decide though!

I hope you're right and Wibrain releases on time and becomes a big success, we need some umpc trojan horse to get the umpcs back into the race vs netbooks, and wibrain looks like it could be the one.

I can't wait to see what Wibrain may show in CES 09, if they dare to add the Nvidia gpu to the mix, I'll get a wibrain tattoo I swear :D
