I got an Asus Eee as a christmas gift. It is very compact but i wish that the LCD screen was larger.

Asus Eee is perfect for ladies who does not want to carry a very heavy laptop. i like the Asus Eee because it is very compact and easy to carry anywhere.

Asus Eee is very convenient to carry. It is my walkaround laptop wherever i go. The battery life could have been better though

I sort of feel the same way, only about the Everun Digital Note’s linux version. I’m sure the windows version was hot, but the linux version doesn’t have built-in wifi (but it does come with a wifi dongle to put in the poorly placed USB slots) … and I haven’t gotten it to export its display via the VGA port … which makes it a bit of a pain in the butt to use as anything other than a novelty. Raon seems to have done a poor effort on linux support.

Upgrading to the 9″ version of this though… if they have a Linpus version … would be outstanding. Or if EeeBuntu Netbook Remix is able to fully support it (screen rotation, touch screen, wifi, etc.).

Timescale for release is 3-6 months according to one report I saw.

As for multi-touch, yes, it’s been mentioned by ASUS. Not sure if it’s one or both models.

JKK and I will discuss this in a podcast today and bring all the latest info together on it.

meh. I want finger friendly (more finger friendly than Ubuntu-UMPC even, which really only has 1 finger friendly app (MidBrowser), and even that’s not very finger friendly). I don’t care much (one way nor the other) about multi-touch.

I’m just hoping they have a linpus, eeebuntu netbook remix, and/or android port.

Any word on whether or not they’ll have PCI-Express-Mini card slots in them? (the video on jkkmobile says some of them will support wimax, so I sort of assume they’ll have SOME sort of expansion slot)

Black, 2GB RAM, and eeebuntu netboox remix … that would be awesome.
