US-bound Velocity MID to ship with Windows XP

Posted on 08 January 2009 by Chippy

I’ve just had confirmation from Velocity that they will be aiming to bring their NoteMagix M5 UMPC to the market with Windows XP.

They’ve sent over a preview PDF (note: Specs are not set in stone at this stage) for us that you can download here.

If they really can bring this to the US market for $500, with the 3G,  on the 2+2GB drive that we’ve seen in variations of this device so far, it will be great news.

Chippy, is this a slider that reveals a qwerty keyboard or is it a touchscreen keypad? I own a high power Velocity Micro desktop after being a long time Dell customer. The Velocity Micro is the best computer I’ve ever owned. Here is their website. http://www.velocitymicro.com/

Ever had your hands on one of these? AT that price, it sure has peaked my interest.
