whoops, I was looking at the P1510 specs (the smaller notebook that Fujitsu made at the same time as mine, which didn’t have a dvd). Mine is slightly bigger wih its 10.6″ screen.

Actually, my P5010 has a smaller bezel around the lcd. Overall, my laptop is 1/8″ longer, 3/8″ less wide, 1/16″ thicker. Essentially the same size.

Not to knock the Vye. It is just ironic that the rest of the world finally caught on to what Fujitsu has been saying for almost a decade!

Small is better and more convenient. Fujitsu has definitely never been the low cost leader, so now it is nice to see that I can finally buy a replacement “netbook” for my venerable beat-up P5010 without dropping $1500 in cash for it.

So this is basically like the Kohjinsha SX3 that has the DVD with 8.9″ Screen, and has the Atom 1.33GHz

Tim, yours is a 9″ with a dvd drive (or has the p5010 perhaps even a 10.6″ screen?), the Vye S41 is a 7″ with a dvd drive. Smaller is better in the world of umpc’s

I am sitting her reading this article on my 2002 Fujitsu Lifebook P5010. Which has a DVD drive and a 9″ 1280×768 screen.

Exactly how and why is this netbook thing news?
