I’m excited to be able to tell you that the MIDMoves team is starting another project. This time, we’re going to the South by South West Interactive festival and we’re taking a huge pile of MIDs with us. If you haven’t heard of SXSW Interactive, I guess the best way to explain it is ‘Cream of Web2.0.’ At least that’s how I’m understanding it at the moment. It’s got a reputation for attracting big names in the Web industry and for being quite the lions-den when it comes to making presentations or launching services. If you get it wrong at SXSW, word gets out very quickly!
The team, that’s Ewan, Nicole and myself will join with Intel on-location and simply ‘get amongst it’ with the devices to show, interact and learn. We’ll be taking devices around with us and will remain on-call for anyone that wants to see and hear about them. I guess we’ll be doing a lot of hallway presentations. (If you want to arrange a demo, contact us via the contact form. We’d love to hear from you.)
We’ve got a great list of devices that range from the entry-level Benq S6 all the way up to the OLED-toting OQO Model 2+. We’ve got the pocketable S5 UMPC, the Compal MIDs and a couple of new devices that we haven’t had a chance to look at for more than a few minutes until this event; the UMID M1 and the Lluon Mobbit. We’ve got some RV action, a pool-party (the green baize type) and some evening events. As lead-man on this event, I’ll be blogging, capturing images and videos, doing podcasts and trying to present as much as I can on MIDMoves.
Stay tuned to MIDMoves to find out more about the MID’s we’re using and the response at SXSW. The journey starts on Thursday.

Great, it’ll be interesting to hear how the Viliv S5, without a keyboard, and the laptop-like but tiny UMID M1 are received by the public, especially compared to the sliders.
Oh, I only noticed now that the page layout doesn’t currently display who wrote an entry, so I only know it’s you Chippy because it was obvious in this post.
Shouldn’t the author’s name be somewhere?
