Pixel Qi fan in waiting
AFAIK your information is incorrect.
A pixel-qi screen would, at maximum, save about 50% battery life. (double battery life.)

Remember that efficient netbooks of this size run in 5-10W power and a normal screen would be taking, on average, 2W. If you swapped the screen out for something that took zero power (near to black and white mode on pixel Qi) you would save between 2/10 and 2/5 power. Thats vastly different from what you are claiming.

Yep, liked the TG01 too. Fantastic graphics. And I want a WinMo phone. Anyone here has got experience with Tosh mobile phones? Thing is, if I run into trouble with an HTC phone there's always the extremely helpful XDA-developers community. What is there for a Tosh TG01 owner?

There are so many different netbooks available, and a lot of them with much better specs. So, who needs this one?
In general I'm not too happy how everything developed with netbooks.
Meanwhile these cheap devices blocking the way for much more innovative technologies (e.g. Intel's MID development).
Maybe I should have said that I don't like Netbooks in general, and not just this specific one.

You know that if this has a Pixel Qi screen that is readable in direct sunlight and allows for 5 fold battery use per charge (and if they also incorporate touch screen)... that would be what I want.

Lousy presentation or lousy Netbook? I feel that aside from the ARM there's nothing new with this one, now that Sony has already come out with the super-wide concept.

You're actually contradicting yourself now, the "super-wide ratio" only makes it even WIDER with this 11" screen, and NON super-wide 11" Netbook would be LESS wide :)

Bottomline I don't want anything with 11" in any direction :)

Remember that's diagonal diagonal on a super-wide ratio. A bit misleading as a screen area figure.
