Well, find this website by googling smartQ, I am Chinese, It’s on sale right now in China, according to the review of our portable device community, it is slow as Q5, and the company is not capable to develop a good software platform, the good news is they are very open for Mer community to redevelop the fireware, they opened the source code to the community, I think it would be a great toy for geeks.

It’s shipped. EMS tracking tells me its left Shanghai sorting center. I guess it takes a few days in German customs though so we’re on track for a Wed or Thurs live session.

I want this purely as an LCD ebook reader. I hate eInk! I can’t read on it in the dark and the wedge lights ruin the supposed better screen of eInk. I’ve been waiting for a device with the right form factor, decent batter life and a decent eBook ability for a LONG LONG time. If they can deliver these for real – I will buy 2.
