I’ve just got back from a spot of moblogging to find the Smart Q7 waiting for me. I wasn’t expecting it until tomorrow so it’s a nice surprise. I have a few appointments this afternoon but I’ll get an unboxing video done and try and be around for a LIVE SESSION with video, audio and Q&A at around 2030 CEST.

Can you tell us how you felt about the ordering process through http://www.eletroworld.cn/? I was thinking of ordering one this week if your review says its good for reading ebooks on.

It was sent as a ‘gift’ (we paid the normal price and delivery charge) and we were lucky. No customs charges. $240 total cost.

For ordering, we emailed Eletroworld and they gave us a paypal address. There was a risk, yes, but I am happy with the service and result.

Yeah, about the store… Didn’t you find it dodgy? I think it’s horrible, even by the chinese independent manufacturer standards for websites. Doesn’t inspire much confidence when the Contact link doesn’t work.

I ordered it on eletroworld and they said me that my Smartq 7 was posted on friday, but it appears that the device is still in China, Xian.
Since I live in Japan, I thougt I’ll get it before Chippy…

Ours was posted on Thursday. It really doesnt matter how far away you are from the source, it depends on how many customs controls the device goes through in my experience.
Looking forward to your first impressions on the device.
