They are all missing the obvious flaw with all of these devices thus far. That is full Windows needs a touch type keyboard for people to want one. It can be designed with a touch type keyboard and still be pocket size if they made a modern rendition of the old Psion 5mx. The desings with pen input will be loosers just like all of the other dozens of similar MID and UMPC’s built over the last few years. The designs with thumb keyboards will suffer the same results just like OQO and Flipstart. Are they just a bunch of geeks with no clue as to what normal people want? Yes we want it pocket size but until they provide a built in touch type keyboard they will all be useless toys.

While these devices are beautiful, I can’t help agreeing with Ars Technica’s assessment that ARM has greater advantages over x86 in the MID space.

Of course I would prefer x86 for the software library, but I think I am in the minority of the target market for these devices/ appliances.
