viliv x70 event Dynamism seems to have had great success selling the Viliv S5 [Portal page] and X70 [Portal page] devices to a limited number of people who were able to order them right as they were released. Now that the premium models are ready for release, it looks like Dynamism is ready to open the offer up to a lot more individuals.

Starting from today (July 16th) through August 5th Dynamism will be offering anyone who orders the X70 or S5 the same nice accessory bundle (worth $135 for the S5, or $195 for the X70) as they did with their initial launch specials. What does this mean exactly?

For the Viliv S5, an order from now through August 5th will secure you a spare battery, car kit, and leather case all at not additional cost.

For the Viliv X70, you have two choices depending on which model you order. The first is for the express model: a free upgrade to 1.3GHz from 1.2GHz, a car kit, leather case, and protective screen cover. Or you can go with a premium model which will get you an additional battery in place of the CPU upgrade along with the other parts of the accessory bundle.

All in all, I would say that if you have your heart set on the S5 or the X70, now would be a good time to buy.

I am frustrated. It’s not understandable to me why you are advertising and touting Dynamism as the great reseller of the hot UMPCs viliv X70 and viliv S5 but can’t order from them by major credit cards like VISA or MasterCard if you live outside the U.S. or Canada. (for example in Europe)

Hopefully, these excellent product’s success is not barred by Dynamism.

Same for me! I wanted to order but was not able to use my VISA or MasterCard.

Nevertheless this morning I placed the order with the option “Quote only” and sent an email regarding the credit card problem. I asked them if there is a different way for my payment.

Until now i got no answer…
    It’s very frustrating.

You can buy it with a Visa o a mastercard.

    I preordered mine with a visa =)

Just enter your credit card number as an american express, then when you receive the receipt by mail ask them to change american express by visa and they will send you a new receipt corrected.

I just got the answer from Dynamism:

“For payment we accept any major US or Canadian issued credit cards, American Express cards or wire transfers as valid methods of payment.

For large events like the Viliv pre-sales, we are also offering PayPal as an option for international customers, and major credit cards if the order is a company purchase. ”

    Yeah!

I suspect there might be somebody in Nigeria who would like to pay with a money order, since Paypal just isn’t convenient.

Anybody know if the Viliv S5 Premium S/32ssd version has the pci-e slot installed for the 3G card?

I know the hdd version doesn’t, since the hdd physically occupies the space where the 3G card plugs in.

I am a Verizon customer, and already have an activated EVDO pci-e card, so paying an extra $150 for the S-5 3G version to get a 3G card that I can’t use is a bit much.

any more suggestions for somebody living in UK , but does not have americanexpress card??

  9. tmarks11 says:

yes, I saw that video already. Not super helpful, as it shows the 3G model which already has the pci-e slot installed.

The base version with a hdd does not have the 3G pci-e receptical isntalled, and if you want to add 3G, you need to do some soldering to connect the pci-e card to the motherboard (and replace the hdd with a 1/2 size ssd since their won’t be room for a “full size” 1.8″ hdd when you are done.

I was wondering if Viliv was shipping the ssd versions with the pci-e slot (which I really doubt, but I can still hope), since I don’t feel real keen on soldering to a motherboard that is probably already covered with smd components.
