I’d be interesyed in hearing how (and whether) having multitouch improves functionality over the regular t91 with windows 7 installed. ~150 bucks seems a huge markup just to get multitouch and a bigger SSD, though I would buy one in a second if they were closer to the regular T91 in price.

Chippy could you try and get some info from Asus.DE about the availability in Europe?
It’s been up for ordering with delivery time 2-3 weeks on amazon.de for a week now but nothing changes?!
I guess a specially slimed down version of Win7 Home Premium would have to be installed to save space on the smallish 16GB SSD, the other 16GB are SD card which I would use only for media storage!

as long as the hardware supports multitouch, the software will catch up. I doubt it would take too long before a driver is released which supports a figer tap right click and probably other useful functions

It would be great if multi-touch could be used to simulate right-click. Even better if it could be used to somewhat move the pointer without clicking.

That’s the biggest problem with touch-screen devices in my opinion: interfaces are built to take advantage of right-click and of mouse movements, which you don’t really have on a touchscreen.

All the other stuff about zooming with two fingers and such may provide great demos that appeals the audience, but frankly it’s not that useful from day to day. Right-clicking instead of left-clicking when an additional finger touches the screen could be awesome!
