The adaptor should work as long as your camera appears as a USB drive toa computer. but... How about buyinng a microSDHC card and putting it in an adaptor so you can use it directly in the D90. Then just take the card out, pull the microSD card out of the adaptor and put it into the Archos. Will be quicker and easier. Steve Hi Shane.
