Mobipocket.com has offerred an ebook reader for pc and essentially every pda/smartphone since 2000.

btw, Amazon bought mobipocket in 2005 to jumpstart their Kindle ebook library. I think Kindle and mobipocket library are about the same size.

The mobipocket reader is much better then the Kindle reader.

I am really surprised that Amazon didn’t tap their mobipocket employee’s experience when they came up with the Kindle pc reader. I am also very surprised that Amazon hasn’t merged mobipocket and kindle formats by now.
