UMPC manufacturers better step up their games soon. Soon smart phone power will take over the attraction of UMPC's OS power. I actually feel a pull more toward the interface and user experience as a huge selling point for cell phones. E.g. Window's mobile 7. How do you compare the ease of windows mobile 7 verse having to double click through windows xp menus just to surf?? The only device I'm looking forward to is XP phone. Since to me it has the best usable keyboard and mouse. But how attractive is windows mobile 7 for daily web activities? It's a hard sell and UMPC manufacturers have not been very innovative recently. (we've heard of xp-phone, tablets, clamshells for years and there still isn't a game changer) I really pull for UMPC concept, but no ones created a game changer.

Dunno, it looks extremely top-heavy. I wonder how prone it is to tipping back?

Somehow reminds me of the ECS EZ-30D tablet PC.
It didn`t have a rubber keyboard but came with a bag into which a keyboard was integrated. That was back in 2004 with a transmeta cpu.

Honestly, it really didn't feel like that with my Vaio, at least regarding the battery durability and email-support.

I think that capacitive touchscreens are the "way to go," regarding optimization of hardware with the software kernel. These devices out of China, seem to be too thick and clunky. I think I will wait until SONY, releases its Windows 7 version tablet, or convertible-tablet device. Just look at the engineering prowess shown in the Sony Vaio Z laptop. That device is sleek, powerful, and fast, like a jaguar. I know the price of the Sony, will be high,...but you "get, what you pay for."
