If you missed the Black Friday deals and are still looking for an Ultrabook this week, don’t despair! Some of the Black Friday deals are still running [$489 ultrabook for example] and there’s a new set of deals for Cyber Monday to check out below which include a touchscreen ultrabook for $499.
First on the list is a Lenovo IdeaPad U510 15” ultrabook with Core i7, 8GB RAM, DVD, 1TB drive and an Nvidia GeForce 625M for just $799. It’s running Windows 8 too. We haven’t had any hands-on with this one yet and there’s nothing out there in terms of professional reviews but we think it’s worth a close look at this price. Link:Lenovo.com
Intel have published a list of Ultrabook deals here which include the Dell Inspiron 14Z, Lenovo Yoga and the HP Envy Touchsmart. Check out the list here.
My favorite Cyber Monday offer so far comes through the Microsoft Store and it’s another $499 Ultrabook. This time it’s got a touchscreen. It’s a seriously good offer. The ASUS VivoBook S400CA touch Ultrabook. This is a Core i5 Ivy Bridge device with Windows 8, a 500/24GB hybrid HDD, 4GB RAM and multi-touch screen. The screen is only 1366×768 and the battery capacity is also average at 44Wh but even so, at $200 below the price you’ll see on Amazon.com today, we think you should check it out if you’re interested in a touch Ultrabook. Our ASUS Vivobook S400 information page is here. The Microsoft store offer page is here.
Finally I’ve found an offer for the UK. Amazon have the Samsung Series 9 15” with Core i5, 8GB, 128GB SSD, 1600×900 and Windows 7 for just £899. That’s down a considerable amount for the £1299 retail price. I’ve fully tested the Samsung Series 9 15” and it’s a great Ultrabook. Check out the details at Amazon.co.uk
