Toshiba Encore WT8 vs Acer Iconia W4

If you’re looking for an 8-inch Windows 8 tablet with a large battery and HDMI-out then the Toshiba Encore WT8 and Acer Iconia W4 are two great choices. Very little differentiated these two devices on the specification list but through our reviews we’ve found subtle differences that might tip the balance one way or another for you. In general the CPU, GPU, battery and WiFi performance is much the same on these two 8-inch Windows tablets. The weight too although the Toshiba is slightly smaller and could be better for portrait use. Neither have a digitizer layer. In the ‘chooser’ below there’s really nothing to separate the two devices.
