Finally, after a week of frustration without a charger for the UMID BZ, it arrived in the post and I was able to charge up and go with testing and hands on today. I’ve already had a few hours with the BZ during CES but there’s nothing like a day of focused ‘messing’ to get to know the device so here, after about 6 hours of usage in total, are my first impressions. Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet First Impressions. (Long!)

The Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet is a 4.8” 800x480 tablet device running Android and Archos Media Player software. Prices start at 230 Euro (8GB) but I’ve got the 32GB version here (bought myself) and I’ve had been pounding it hard since I got it last Friday. So far I'm loving its capability and excited by its potential but am frustrated by the amount of crashes and lock-ups I'm experiencing. At this stage I'd advise customers to hold-off on a purchase and take the time to do some more research and to monitor my ongoing experiences with the device before diving in. Clevo TN70M Netbook/UMPC Review.

At 535 Euros inclusive of Windows XP Home and European taxes the Clevo TN70M is remarkably cheap for a convertible touchscreen device. The overall quality is good and there are no show-stoppers but there’s a few issues that get in the way and are probably going to stop most buyers in their tracks. Large size, 800x480 screen and a huge amount of competition from netbooks narrow the target customer down to a very niche segment indeed. In this review I take a look at the main features of the Clevo TN70M, give you some test results and opinions and see if I can find out exactly where the Clevo TN70N is aiming.
