Thanks very much to Mobilx.eu who have sent one of their first Archos 9 devices to us for a week of testing and hands-on. You’ll remember hearing about this earlier in the year and getting a launch at IDF in September but it’s taken a long time to reach the hands of end-users. There are a few early devices out there already but not many hands-on and unboxing videos. Here’s my contribution.

I had lunch with some Intel Insiders yesterday. Tom Foremski , Cedric Ingrand and I talk briefly about what we’re using at IDF.

I’ve been giggling for the past hour. I just can’t work out if that portfolio case is a masterstroke or just plain silly but one thing’s for sure, it highlights how small this device is. Click through for the video and some initial thoughts.

The final day for myself on the road for this iteration of the Mid Moves tour. I’ve left myself one classical element to explore (Earth) and for the fourth mode of transport I’m turning to the Underground, specifically the Glasgow Underground.

I think I made a mistake by doing air today and water yesterday, given the weather. But no matter, it’s just a challenge for the Intel MID devices to rise to.

Video highlights from the frist day of my Mid Moves tour – “fire” and “bicycle” are the words of the day as I test the Compal on a bike ride around Scotland’s capital.

For the first two days of my MID Moves tour, I’ll be using the Compal MID device. It arrived in a fantastically matt black box which reminded me of a nice bottle of Laphroig.
