I know some of you are desperate to see options for getting an HSDPA module inside the Everun. Me too.
Thats why i'm going to open my Q1b tonight and test out the module in the Everun. I can't wait any longer!! Its an Option module (not sierra wireless) so i'm not sure if its going to be slim enough but we'll see. If anyone wants to see the Everun naked and ask questions through the IRC app, i'll be online in about 30 minutes after posting this and will be around for a good three hours. Don't expect three hours of entertainment tho!! Live cam here. You'll need to be registered and logged in. Steve |

North Rebel.
You are the one and only....!! For those that missed the fun, yes, it was recorded HERE But its long (271 minutes.) I think about an hour of that was me trying to get the radio enabled on the card. We tried everything and I had given up. North Rebel asked about hardware on/off buttons and thats when the penny dropped. I turned the WAN on through the Raon control panel and BINGO!!! I did a little dance. You can see it at JKKMobile Of course, I blame James Kendrick for this!!! Just about to do start testing now. Steve. |

It makes me wonder exactly what hardware on/off setting does if the hsdpa card is 99% active (detected by windows, passes diagnostics etc) when switched off.

It seems its just turning the radio on and off (according the the diagnostics)

Someone mentioned some video conferencing software on IRC the other night. Can anyone remember what it was?
It was software where you can hand over the cam to someone else and let them take lead. Steve. |

Does anybody know where to get an antenna that Steve used in his mod? I've searched for days but can't find a supplier for those internal embedded 3G antennas...
If someone has an idea I would be happy about a reply |
