My Gigabyte M704 I bought from them has stopped working. As its only a couple of months old I tried to email them last week for a warranty repair request.

So far they haven't answered any of my emails & today when I tried to access their website it comes up as blank. Does anyone know if they are are still in business?

Hi,

Got the same problem, I ordered from them on the 28th, no email confirmations, nothing.

Got the payment confirmation from Paypal, no response from any email boxes, and nothing on the ebay stores either.

Going to have the payment pulled by Paypal.

Shame,

nick

When I ordered mine from them I got no email confirmation either.
Maybe they don't do customer service.

Hi All,

I ordered an Aigo MID from them on 11/20/08 using a credit card via PayPal.

On 11/24 and 11/25 I sent two emails asking them the status of the order.

I got an email on 11/26 stating that the Aigo MID was shipped and to login to get the tracking number. At the time I knew that I had already logged in and the site tells me that I have "no orders".

I was frustrated at that point. I sent an email to them today 12/1 telling them that the site tells no tracking number and for them to get that number to me.

Now, if you look at the thread that Chippy started on whom owns the Aigo MID, look down at the posts and you will see one from thedoctor and he says that it took two days after the money cleared to get the Aigo MID (he lives on the west coast of the us, I am on the east coast of the us).

Take care all, JohnD

I bought a Kohjinsja sx3 from DFJ with an extra battery, but when I got it (after one month) there was a sony battery with it.
I emailed them about this problem and they say they don't sell this battery.
Does someone has an idea what I should do?

Hi,

Assuming you used a Visa or Mastercard (not sure about AMEX), and you are not getting a replacement from DFJ, you can file a dispute via your card issuer for the disputed amount.

You will likely need to ship the incorrect item back to DFJ, with proof of shipment etc to prove you have returned it.

The issuers will then, normally, raise a credit on your account, request the credit from the supplier and after x period will be reimbursed themselves by the processor if the supplier makes no refund.

Been caught out several times so have become somewhat used to dealing with Visa and Mastercard on these issues over the years :(

First stop, clear emails to DFJ, second stop talk to your card issuer (your bank etc where you got it).

Good Luck,
nick

Hi,

I got a reply from them today, sent a few minutes ago, very apologetic and with an explanation.

They state their website and database was hacked at the end of last week, and they have only just got it back online.

I am now awaiting my refund, they were happy to provide.

I am also now awaiting a new card, just in case the hack revealed my card details from their database, just as a precaution.

Best,
nick

PS I work in the murky world of IT security and have done for 15 years, and even so have been subject to identity fraud in my home country, hence my source of concern.

Nickjay,

If you paid with Paypal none of your CC details are shared with the vendor

I would only worry if your Paypal account's password was the same as your DFJ site logon

I'm also working in IT Security and there is another guy at my department that has a UMPC from this store.

What is it about IT Security people that attracts them to small PCs that you can easily lose? ;)

Hopefully DFJ can get their act together soon.

See my previous post.

I sent them an email to please give me a tracking number, it's the third time.

Do you guys think I am worring to much?

I mean I ordered Aigo on 11/19-11/20, then get an email that said it was shipped on 11/25, three emails asking them what my tracking number was. No answer. Ok their site was hacked. But they should have a paper copy of the EMS tracking record.

What do you guys think?

Help! JohnD

John.

I think you're perfectly within your rights to keep asking. Don't give up!

Steve.

On August 7 I purchased a

Kohjinsha SC3KP06GA Black (BT & GPS)
> -Memory upgrade: 2GB
> -Large battery additional: SC3KP06GA $1,271.00 1 $1,271.00

I received the computer in a timely manner but the extra battery was not in the box. I emailed direct from japan and got this response.

"dont worry at all, battery will be avaible up to august and we will ship"

Three months later and multiple emails with no reply I have come to the conclusion that this company is far from reputable.
