Hi All.
I've secured a Flybook V33i for testing. It should be with me next week I will run a short Q&A here but what would you like to see tested? I'll cover: 1) Basic useage scenarios 2) Games 3) Useability 4) Battery life 5) Photos/Videos. But if there's something else you want to see, please let me know. The reports, vid and pics will be on Carrypad but I will post a summary news item on Origamiportal too. Steve. |

It landed today and looks great. This is a real top-end UMPC.
The first photo-set and journal entry are already up. Feel free to ask questions here. I've got the device for 4 days so there should be enought time to get all the normal tests done. First test: Google Earth. Oooh. Works very smoothly. This is looking good for gaming! Steve. |

Hi PBW.
- Drift of the cursor after using the mousepointer. I have seen this once. As usual, it happens when the pointer gets hot. - Very slow GPRS, bad WIFI reception. (They have an UMTS version out in The Netherlands!) Wifi reception is good. GPRS I will test this afternoon. UMTs version is also available here now. - Dead or stuck pixels. SCreen perfect. - Screen hinge somehow had a cheap plastic feeling. Seems OK to me. - Touch screen difficult to use with fingers, sometimes unresponsive Touch screen is a heavyweight device to try and reduce the palm 'vectoring' I agree that using with finger is not as easy as with others. - slow processor. 1.1Ghz Pentium M is better than the old Transmeta.I am running the COSBI performance test right now. I also have an annoying fan sound. BAttery life is on par with similar devices. Minimum 1:45. (everything on) Am using the device with an external screen in dual screen mode and finding it very nice for normal activities. Steve. |

I'm writing the review up over the next 2 days.
The flybook is a lovely device. I'm going to miss the keyboard but it's time to move on. The i7210 arrived this afternoon! Steve. |
