Broken Car Mount X70 - Device death

Last Week I want to do my first Car Navigation with my X70.
2 Kilometers after start the Car Mount broke on the adapter from the Car Mount in the Viliv back side. The Viliv fall down and the screen broke.

I send dynamism pictures from the Car Mount and they want the Viliv and the Car Mount back.

I check the car mount and I think the car mount is not OK. If you set the Viliv in the Car mount and move the lever in the save position the Viliv is not 100% fixed and you can move the Viliv
I think there is a problem with the car mount. I load pictures up when I come home.

Is your Car Mount OK and you have a save feelings if you fixed the viliv in the car mount. Do you have similar experiences?

No I have a bigger problem, dynamism want the device back to show it viliv. I have an RMA for 5 Days (not long!) and dynamism said I should pay resendig the viliv from germany to Chicago. Wow, 140 Euro wants FedEx or UPS. I am not shure to send it back, 140 Euro sending back, 140 Euro pay for customs duty if I get another Viliv as replace. And last Viliv will said "Your problem, Customer has do a faulty operation" and will money for repairs.

I love my viliv but now I have nothing.....

Your car mount looks like it was not factory-assembled correctly.
you needed to take off the 2 screws in the mount and change the orientation of the "3 spokes" for it to work properly. You can see the link posted by brwilcox for more info on this

Even then, I'm surprised that the mount can break off so easily like that.

Anyway I think you have a very valid case for RMA.
If so, you have to pay for the return shipping to Dynamism only.
Dynamism will pay for shipping it back to you.

This is my understanding from my current RMA case with Dynamism, and I am also a non-US customer as well.

Wish you best of luck!

This shows how 5 minutes of fixing the mount, can save you a big head ache. I fixed mine 5 minutes after unboxing. Good luck with the rma.

Yeah, you are absolutly right!
But now my Viliv Device is dead.
In my opinion it ist the right way if viliv do a good job and sells products who works?

I give Dynamism the info that they should talk to viliv to give me my money for the transportation to chicago back, they prove.

But what is with the other owners of Viliv devices, should Dynamism give them the info to avoid further devices Deaths?

Hello, an update about the case with my broken Viliv.

Since then I wait for an answer from dynamism. I write 2 mails and get no reply. I am dissapointed and hope that dynamism and viliv are interested in this problem. If not I will check what my next possibilites are.

But one I know today, never buy a computer as an early adopter from a company who not so common.
I hope dynamism and viliv check this case and give me an reply, thats the minimum I expected.

Bad Bad Bad
