| A good upgrade from the original Transformer. The Transformer Pad TF300T is the first device to use Nvidia's Tegra 3 platform. The optional keyboard has an additional battery which will allow the Transformer to run up to 18 hours, according to Asus. The add-on nature of this keyboard makes the Transformer Prime a versatile device; able to function as a standalone tablet, or as a laptop-style productivity device. Unfortunately the tablet itself is somewhat lacking in the port department, with only Micro HDMI, MicroSD, and a proprietary dock connector on the tablet itself. Adding the keyboard will also bring along with it a full-sized SD card reader and full-sized USB 2.0 port, though it would have been nice to see one full-sized USB port on the tablet itself along with another on the keyboard for adding a mouse and an external storage device. |

![]() | HP Touchpad, 9.7", 700gm The TouchPad's 9.7 inch, 1024 x 768 pixel IPS display and 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor make it a fairly powerful tablet. But while the innovative webOS software looks nice and has a few neat tricks up its sleeve, the software doesn't feel like it's been optimized for the tablet. The TouchPad suffers from random freezes and applications sometimes launch or run slower than they should. Hackers have given the discontinued tablet a second life though, by porting Google Android to run on the TouchPad. | Status: Available | Datasheet News |
