Lluon Mobbit UMPC at Computex 2009

Tags: , , ,

We’ve reported on the Lluon Mobbit UMPC before so none of this is new but I took the chance to go over the device again at Computex. I love the way they’ve integrated a flat touchscreen with no recessed edges because it really helps accessing the start and windows close buttons. Quite important on a Windows-based device!

You can get the full specifications and find links to other news items in the Lluon Mobbit product page. Unfortunately we don’t have any information about availability and pricing outside the local market.

If anyone reading this is planning to go to MWC, do us a favor please. Take your video cam and get hands-on with the Lluon (incorrectly referenced as the Digifriends MID in the video) and the UMID M1. Intel are shipping them over to Barcelona next week for the Mobile World Congress and here’s a teaser video they’ve just put up.

Seriously though, if anyone reading this does have time to get hands-on with the UMID, we’d love to hear your opinion.

You’ll recognise some of the MIDs in this video from the MIDMoves tour in Jan but there’s a couple of new ones in there too. The Lluon Mobbit and the UMID M1.

News from Kevin Kang at CNet Asia.

Up from a previously announced price and a little more than I wanted to see is the $575, KRW 799,000, Korean price of the Lluon Mobbit UMPC.

Additional information I can give out those Korean MIDs, Viliv and UMID also about to launch their S5 and M1 within February here in Korea.

Some more info over at CNet but before you go there , tell us what you think of the price. 3G UMPC with XP for around $600. Good or bad?
