LBook T9. 8.9” ultra-thin Multitouch Tablet planned for March 2010

It looks like Windows 7 and some invisible tabletPC marketing force is spurring people to make web pads left right and center. The Ebook reports that the Lbook T9 will be coming to the market next year for an interesting retail price of $350-$375. If they really can achieve that than we’re in for some interesting times.

Super slim 12.7mm body under the control of Windows 7. The highlight of the device would be touch-screen technology “multitouch” to enter information. [Via translation]

The specifications look challenging but not impossible. An SSD might be more interesting for performance and ruggedness though.

Thanks Mike.

    MIDにしては値段も手ごろでメモリーもいい感じだなぁ。OSはWindows 7ですしかなり期待は持てそう。 見てる:LBook T9. 8.9” ultra-thin Multitouch Tablet http://bit.ly/Q8Ign

That, with a 10″ screen, and something other than Windows, would be pretty interesting.

That could be perfect. With Ubuntu, Android, or Maemo (or, I wonder if you can hackintosh it). 10″, USB ports, VGA out, SD card reader, base 1GB RAM. With a decent sized SSD, 2+GB of RAM, and if the 3G worked with non-Windows OSes, and if the external resolution can be more standard dimensions (1280×1024, for example) … that’d be perfect.

Very interesting device. Win7 is a must for a device like this. Battery life really needs to be more like 8 hours though..

  11. johnkzin says:

Good luck, with current x86 cpu’s, finding a device that has both decent performance, size/weight, and battery life. I don’t think anyone has even verified that the Nokia netbook lives up to its battery life claims.
