If you’ve read our Viliv S5 review over the last week and are now wondering whether to buy it, today’s a good day to make a decision because there’s a special offer at Dynamism kicking of at 1pm eastern time (Ney York time.) Dynamism have 400 units available with a special offer pack that includes the leather pouch, the car kit and a spare battery for just $599. Check out all the details via our product information page and then hop over to Dynamism for the ordering details.
If you have any last-minute questions on the Viliv S5, I’ve set up an email address that you can send your questions to. It will be valid for today only. Email your questions to viliv-s5-q@umpcportal.com and I’ll do my best to answer questions as soon as they come in. [This is not a Dynamism service. Just me trying to help out.]

Had it on my cart ready to purchase at 1pm EST. Left it there for a few minutes, went back to it and then I realized.. I don’t need this. Lol
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll wait first for a monthly 3G/4G service to be available as a standalone (not with contracts), then I’ll wait for a UMPC with 3G and I’ll be good to go.

If I had a dollar for ever time i’ve left a shopping cart at the last moment i’d be a rich man. There’s something about that last button that makes you think!!!

Heheheh it’s true Chippy, but I bought it anyway!!! And I’m already looking for 1.8 inch SSDs and trying to find that video where someone took the Viliv apart to see where in gods name I can fit the 3G module ;D (I think it might have been on UMPC Fever…)
Anyway, for Subc: You know here in Spain and also in Germany you can get standalone 3G/3.5G contracts or even pay as you go which are very reasonable (look at simyo.es if you speak Spanish)…

CHeck out jkkmobile.com for a 3G upgrade walkthrough. It’s not easy though.

Since Mobilx droped this company,is there any news about a european importer?

The question is what was the reason moblix dropped it? Those things selling like hotcakes – see dynamism. There must something else behind it – a big European reseller? Who knows…

I don’t think Viliv can make enough to cope with all the markets so far, so my guess is Europe has gone to the back of the queue…

Is this unit good quality. I had a ux490n and it was slow and the fan made all sorts of noise.
Do you feel this unit is quicker?

The unit is very good quality, has no internal fan and runs at a similar speed to a net book.
