Samsung's Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus comes with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and the latest version of Google's built-for-tablets OS, Android Honeycomb. Additionally, the tablet has an IR tablet for remote control of TV and other devices through Samsung's Peel application.

This is the Google Nexus 7 tablet. It is a 7" tablet with a scratch resistant 1280x800 IPS display. It comes with 1GB of RAM and is available either with 8 or 16GB of Storage. As this is coming from Google it ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Beans. It does have some nice features like NFC and GPS. The battery is 4325mAh big and should power the device up to 8 hours of active use.

The Barnes & Noble NOOK Tablet is a 7" 1GHz dual-core Tablet with a resolution of 1024x600. It comes either with 8 or 16GB of Storage and 512MB RAM for the 8GB Version or 1024MB RAM for the 16GB Version. The Device itself comes with a Barnes & Noble Store and has no Google Play Store access. However its low price and the possibility to get the Google Play Store on the device with a little effort makes the Device quite compelling.

The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is the direct decendant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab (7.0). It has some very unique features like an Infrared Port for media control via Tablet. It also has built in voice (celluar) capabilities which are rarely to be found in tablets. It uses HSPA+ for network connections and also features Bluetooth 3.0 as well as Wi-Fi b/g/n. Displaywise it features a PLS Touchscreenwhich offers greater viewing angles than a normal display.

The Coby Kyros 7 is an low budget entry level Tablet with a single core CPU clocked at 1GHz and with a screen of 800x480 resolution. It unfortunately comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with 4GB storage built in. With it's mini HDMI out the device supports 1080p output to an external screen. The price point of only 99$ could be a real selling point for many people. Please keep in mind though that there is no Android Marketplace installed on this device, however there are possibilities to get it installed.
