| Unlike some other ultrabooks, the HP Folio offers a reasonable set of ports. You'll get full-sized HDMI for audio/video output, a gigabit ethernet port, one USB 2.0 port, and one USB 3.0 port (backwards compatible to 2.0). Additionally there is a combo 3.5mm line-in/line-out port for headphones or a microphone, and there's a multi-card reader. The backlit keyboard is also a plus. As with other HP notebooks, the Folio has Altec Lansing speakers which are 'Dolby Advanced Audio' certified, but don't expect them to replace your stereo system. The ability to expand the RAM up to 8GB will be good for some users; many other ultrabooks have cases sealed with non-standard screws and aren't intended for aftermarket modification. |
