Another well specified clamshell-style UMPC. Slightly too wide for thumb typing but wide enough for a touch-typing experience. 1.8Ghz, 2GB RAM and SSD helps with speed and this should make quite a rugged travel computer too.

The Eee PC 900 is a larger screen version of the 701. It is due to launch in mid-April for 399 Euro. The web cam is slightly improved, the mousepad is larger and the memory is 1Gb. The screen will add some drain to the battery and this is expected to be in the order of 5-10%.
