TabletKiosk eo v7110review – TabletPCReview.com

Posted on 01 December 2006 by

TabletPCReview.com have been playing with one of the original Origami-spec UMPCs, the TabletKiosk eov7110. Its also known as the Paceblade EasyBook P7, The Ago7 and Ubiquio 701. [Got that Google?] They’ve just released a review.

The eo v7110 had a few problems at the start of its life and there are still a lot of references around to its battery life problems. Those problems have long been cleared up and the v7110 is a stable machine. I am regularly in contact with a couple of UMPC designers and they often tell me how stable the Amtek T700 (ODM) device is. Apparently its one of the few real Tablet PC UMPCs. Its was built from scratch as a tablet PC and as such, has all the BIOS hooks for Windows XP Tablet edition to get hold of (TIP for example.)

Vista works on this device and although there is limited graphics support (DirectX 9 extensions are not supported in hardware on this device) it works well. This video will give you a good idea about how Vista performs.

Amtek will be at CES in Jan
