There’s a live video and chat (Mostly German) going on at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/netbook-news

Twin netbook towers

Thanks to eee-pc.de and eeepcnews.de for organising the event.

  2. Chippy says:

    Yup. But enjoying it!

  3. turn.self.off says:

    who is the N800 user?

and the keyboard used is the apple bluetooth keyboard iirc…

  4. Gammer says:

My N800 was by far the slowest but also by (hm, not so) far the smallest device on these tables. As you’ve guessed already I use the apple bt keyboard – which is an amazing device! Only disadvantage: it remembers just one single paired device, so if you want to use it regularly with more than one UMPC then this would be inconvenient.

The meeting was great indeed. Thanks for this opportunity to meet such nice people and to touch all these impressive little machines!

  5. turn.self.off says:

one thing i spotted was that you had it flat on the table rather then using the stand? do you find it more readable that way?

  6. Gammer says:

Oh, it was not in use when someone took the photo. I’ve put a velcro tape at the back of it which fixes the unit in a little black bag. This is ideal for one hand use. The stand (opened) is optimal when paired with the keyboard.

  7. JLM says:

    Chippy… make some one…

  8. techno.techie says:

Very cool! Wish I had seen a Lenovo s10 or s9 to compare the size to the Eee. Now all you need to do Chippy is come to the US and host an event.

Please make comparison of two small and good computers.
Aigo P8860 with Windows XP and Raon Everun STD – S66HS (36HS, S32S…)
    – The size
-Battery Life (mode with films or games, mode with text, mode with 3G internet. Each mode separately)
    -Productivity (speed of the processor)
    – Speed 3,5 G
    – Work with heavy programs ( heating of a computer )
    – Keyboard
I shall be very glad to see this test.
    Best Regards.
