UMID M1 and Viliv S5. Pre-order at Dynamism

Posted on 07 February 2009 by Chippy

Update: It’s more of a placeholder. Pre-order is not possible at the moment…

No prices yet but at least we now know that the devices are going to ship at some point in the future. The UMID M1 and Viliv S5 are now in the database at Dynamisn so if you’re keeping a close eye on them, nip over and register for email updates.

UMID M1 at Dynamisn
Viliv S5 at Dynamisn

Both are without 3G support which doesn’t bode well for US band support but well try and get the definitive answer ASAP

This is the first pre-order page I’ve been to that doesn’t have pricing, release date information, and where you can’t place an order. Maybe this should be considered a pre-pre-order. :)

Justek in Australia has updated their preorder page to say that the devices comes stock with an unspecified Linux OS and that XP is just an option. They already price the base model at AU$1399 (~$940 today).

They have a pretty official-looking “poster” here: http://www.justek.com.au/shop/images/products/umid/mbook.jpg
