Kohjinsha PA series UMPC pricing starts high.

Posted on 24 October 2009 by

Eeek!

The Kohnjinsha UMPC isn’t going to do the UMPC segment any favors if it  turns up looking like that, for over $800!

I’m usually very positive about any UMPC entering the market but I’m finding it very difficult with this one. Mouse pointer and stereo speakers are nice but surely there’s a prettier way to do it?

I agree Chippy. That thing is a little hard on the eyes.

I like that they are trying something different, but I agree its not very pretty.

    Any Specs?

Will try and get this in the DB asap. Specs are floating about here, on JKKMObile and Pocketables though.

I rather like the looks of it. Function over form.
I don’t, however like the internal specs.
I’d much rather have a Fujitsu U. It’s only an inch bigger, has a larger screen, more expansion options, and can be had for similar prices now.

    Fail.

Apart from the fact that it’s not easy on the eye, it’s too big to be pocketable and much too small to enable productive working. A bad convergence in my opinion.

  8. Patrick says:

For that price it should be a razor thin convertible,

I don’t mind the looks, it’s just the size!
9 or 10″ is my sweet spot!
