Reminder. Live N900 videocast today.

Posted on 12 October 2009 by Chippy

Update: Write-up and videos have now been posted.

I’m heading back to base on the train out of Amsterdam right now and typing this on the N900 as we dart through Holland. Skype, Gtalk, a set of browser tabs, Mauku and Wordpy are running and of course, it’s running the telephony stack alongside all of this computing activity.

It’s an amazing device and I’m really looking forward to demonstrating, testin and discussing it with you on UMPCPortal this evening. JKK will be with me and as usual, is bringing a few devices to the party.

I hope you can join us at about 2000hrs CEST (central europe, berlin.) Main recording will stat about 30 minutes later.

Alas 8pm German time doesn’t convert to a very favourable hour of the day for us in GMT+13 land.

Uploading it somewhere so it can be listened to later would be great.

You will understand that I will not be viewing this. But what stuff is JKK bringing? That might interest me.

Nokia just license the Zeiss name, and there is nothing particularly special or unique about their optics. The use the venerable Tessar (four elements in three groups) optical formula with a reasonably fast by mobile phone standards f2.8 lens speed.
