To celebrate the fact that UMPCPortal hit 1 million page views last month I'm giving away a brand new WiBrain B1E. I've had a quick word with my friends at Mobilx and here's how we'll do it.

You click through to Mobilx and have a look around to see what your fave object d'lust is. Come back to this forum and enter the name of your fave item as an entry to this thread. Of course, you'll need to register so that you can post and I can contact you if you win (i'll be watching for those multiple registrations and ip addresses folks!) If you win, you get a code that you can redeem at Mobilx for a Wibrain B1E. All applicable EU purchase taxes and postage paid (you will be responsible for your local import taxes.)

At the end of the day I will have introduced you to one of my favorite UMPC resellers (I'm an affiliate so if you buy something there, you help UMPCortal too!) and someone will walk away next Friday with a WiBrain. Oh, and if you win, don't forget to write a report for us!

Thanks for such a wonderful give-away and a chance to have it! As for UMPCs ....
My fave would be the Fujitsu Lifebook U810 UMPC ... followed by the OQO model e2 HSDPA UMPC in the ranks.
Oh, wait ... the HTC X9500 - Shift UMPC would be a better UMPC for me.

I would love a OQO model e2 HSDPA UMPC, especially one with a SSD in it.

But any HSDPA enabled UMPC of roughly that size would be nice.

I see we are interested not just in desire, but in lust. There are so many objects of desire, but lately my object of lust was the Fujitsu P1620, although the new HP Mini makes me wonder if adding the benefit of having a tablet is worth spending more than 3x the price!

OOHHH, my fave item of lust would be the OQO e2 HSDPA!!

The one think i like most is not on the site (q1 ultra dock), but i have emailed them, to hear if the can get it :D, hope they answer soon.
Next best bet, would be a "Samsung Extended Life Battery For Samsung Q1 Ultra"

I still think Wibrain is best for games and multimedia because of its form.

Chippy, I have to join the pack, I need a UMPC badly, but I cant see any item that compares (for those who dont care about a large screen or full size keyboard) with the OQO e2 SSD! Pocketable slider please!

Of course it would be nice to have all of them,
But if not simply EEEPC 900 is something what I'm waiting for.

At the risk of looking disingenuous, I really would select the Wibrain B1E if given the opportunity to have anything of my choosing off of the mobilix webshop (a close second would be the OQO model e2 HSDPA, and a close third the Vye mini-v S37B). Hmmm... I either need more money or a more lenient wife.

My favourite has to the be the Wibrain Docking Cradle with DVD-RW.

Anything as good as a WiBrain out of the road, has to be as useful when you arrive at the office or home.

I spend most of my day RDP'ing and SSH'ing into servers. To be able to walk into the home office, plug in my a WiBrain to the docking station and start working straight away would be perfect.

Couple it up to a 19" TFT and hey presto 1280x1024. The dock has 4 usbs as well, so no problems connecting it to everything you need.
