At 15.5mm with a touchscreen, the ASUS Zenbook Infinity is one amazingly thin Ultrabook. Gorilla Glass lid, backlit keyboard, 2560×1440 resolution, 4th-Gen Intel Core and more although at this stage the full specifications aren’t known. The ASUS Zenbook Infinity is being launched at Computex and although it wasn’t mentioned in the ASUS press conference, a preview model was shown behind glass.

Update: We’re tracking news, videos, specifications on the Zenbook Infinity here in our database.

Dates, prices, details about battery life (one of the key bits of information we’re waiting for for all 4th-Gen Core Ultrabooks) are all unknown at this stage. We suspect that, like other Ultabooks launching at Computex, Intel is trying to keep details to a minimum until after their opening keynote on Day 1 in Taipei.

Update: All Haswell Ultrabooks, 2-in-1’s, Convertibles are being added to our database here.

Specifications: (Updating as we get more information)

  • Core i7 4th Gen CPU (Slashgear reports 28W high-end with Iris graphics. We can’t find confirmation of that yet.)
  • 13.3-inch 2560×1440 resolution multi-touch screen
  • Backlit keyboard
  • Thinkness: 15.5mm
  • Micro HDMI
  • Mini DP
  • USB 3.0 x 2
  • WiDi support

ASUS have not made any press releases about the Zenbook Infinity today so we assume they will do that after the Intel keynote which is at 2pm in Taipei, 4th June.

This goes to show that thin and light is not adverse to touch this should be the new Standard. Other brands take notice. Bravo Asus

  2. JohnCz says:

Nice to ASUS up their game to keep it competitive with Acer’s announced S7. I still think the S7 edges it out though.

  3. hez says:

Great machine but what is the practical sense of such a resolution?

I am looking forward to seeing detachable, thin computers with active digitizers.

  4. Kelvindevogel says:

My god that’s a pretty computer!

  5. Adam says:

Wow, that is one sexy machine. I love the blue metallic look. I just got my 1080p IPS, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM UX31A and I’m already jealous of this machine.

  6. TareX says:

I’d make sure there’s a 1080p version in the works, just to save on battery consumption and costs of productions.

  7. Lalleball says:

Well, there is the UX31 LA that also was shown at Computex 2013.
It has the zenbook prime-look, but its infinity on the inside. Haswell-CPU, but with a 1080p touchscreen (and two SSD’s in RAID which is awesome!)

  8. Alan says:

I don’t like the design of the back of the lid. I’d prefer the lid have the same matte look as the keyboard/palm rest area.

I guess I like a more understated look. I liken the back to Alienware and other “bling” designs.

  9. curaga says:

Ya, I’m more of a matte everywhere kind of person when it comes to electronics. Not into the shiny or detailed look.

  10. Diego says:

Bought the Asus Zenbook Touch in April.
Now I want this but there will always be a better one.

  11. KB says:

will never buy it if they don’t drop out mini display port and add at least one or two USB ports, full size HDMI would be a nice touch, too…why do they mess up what appears to be real winner otherwise?…and will SSD be replaceable (upgradeable), how about extra memory slot?

  12. Matt says:

@hez: There is a huge difference in clarity of text on a retina iPad (2048 x 1536) vs. previous gen. (1024 x 768). And those displays are only 10 inch.

I’ve been waiting for the day small notebook resolutions increase beyond a measly 1333 x 768, as I find the additional screen real-estate and clarity very useful for all sorts of apps.

But why isn’t anyone talking about the man with the yellow lightsaber standing behind it?!

They may know the details of a bottle of wine? Our companion wine is fermented
and naturally contains yeast, this would trigger an asthma attack.
While the big cities of Madrid and Barcelona are enduringly
common and provide an abundance of attractions, you can find.
It is not free that sit before the course of instruction of saving a struggling petty.

  15. Tom says:

Does anyone know how to get into the raid configuration on these laptops? The SATA mode is set to RAID in the bios, but the RAID itself cannot be configured here. There should be some key which brings it up. (I’ve done a ton of searches and random keys). ESC is boot menu, F2 is BIOS, F4 is BIOS update. Could not find any others. Thanks
