Now I’m interested. Not so much in the Kindle device itself but in the groundbreaking way that Amazon have set up this seamless, all-costs-included ‘experimental’ web browsing service over EVDO in the Kindle. It’s not a first as PocketSurfer do it with their Pocketsurfer 2 device but because this is a device getting a lot of attention, it might raise the question of ‘why do I have to pay for basic Internet on my mobile phone.’
Rob Bushway has just done an unboxing video of the Kindle. In Part 2 of his video he shows how he browses to a website. “The initial impression of the experimental browser is much like Internet Explorer on Windows Mobile” he says in the comments.
I wonder if he can browse bloglines mobile making it a ‘free’ mobile RSS reader.
All we need now is for someone to apply the same idea to an Android-based Internet pad. I’m sure Google could swing it couldn’t they?
