The Dell Inspiron 15Z Touch is here for a review (with an Nvidia GT630M GPU) and out of the blue, a Samsung Series 5 Ultra Touch (with SSD) turned up today too so as is the law around these parts, I unboxed them for you. Actually I took 15 minutes to take a good look at both and, ahem, dropped the Samsung Series 5 in the process!

It’s been a busy, but enjoyable weekend with the Lenovo Thinkpad Twist. It fits right into the way I use laptops, the way I like to interact with laptops and the quality I like to see. Is it what YOU want from an laptop though. Lenovo recently launched some new ads to show off the IdeaPad Yoga 13 Ultrabook convertible. The Pursuit is a 3 minute and 30 second short action film in the style of The Matrix and James Bond. While the video might not pay off as a film, it certainly puts the IdeaPad Yoga 13 front and center.

Good morning everyone. Hope you enjoyed yesterdays live blog (still updating) on the day that Windows 8 was officially launched. First possible availability is today for all Windows 8 devices so watch out for the first discounts! You’ll see some disappointing ‘out of stock’ messages at Amazon.com though.
Update: Ultrabook convertible overview here.
Let’s kick off today’s Ultrabook coverage by looking at a new Ultrabook video campaign from Intel. 7 videos have just gone live and some focus purely on the convertible side (!) of Ultrabooks. Ultrabook first though in the “Ultrabook convertible” ads.

I had the chance to check out the Toshiba U920T / U925T slider Ultrabook at IDF last week in San Francisco and put a quick video together showing the slider mechanism, ports and screen which, is quite the glossy experience as you’ll see. There’s also an NFC demo – the U920T will be the first Ultrabook with NFC.
