Various designs exist using rotating screens, 360-degree screen hinges, sliders and center-twist hinges. They are, due to their additional touchscreen and hinge complexity, usually a little heavier than traditional Ultrabooks but their flexibility is appealing. Popular examples include the Lenovo Yoga range, the ASUS Taichi range and the Dell XPS 12 with its unique 180-degree rotating screen. Ultrabook convertibles were introduced in 2012 and are expected to develop further in 2013 with the introduction of the Intel Haswell core architecture.
