It’s about time this appeared because it doesnt really make sense that Archos only produce a 5″ version of the Android tablet.
The news came out of the ArchosFans forum and I like the look of it. Just imagine if the first Origami device had had these dimensions and pricing in 2006. It would be a different story today.

Of course we hear this right before apple tablet time. But wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one of these archos machines.

Any chance of an Atom and Windows 7 powered Archos 7? The Archos 9 is too big. I’m not a big fan of Android on anything other than a smartphone. If I’m not using a smartphone then I want a full PC experience.

This is just about the right size. I hope they use a more standard Android though. I wish them luck in getting this out soon.

The 5 is a beautiful bit of kit, so the 7 should be too. Hopefully Archos will get Android 2 and flash on both soon.
Still the 7 is dead to me. I’ll keep my 5 and get an iPad on day of launch. I hate Macs, but love my iPhone. A big iPhone for the sofa browsing is the device I’ve been waiting for.
Now if Apple could do a 5″ iPad too…
